Anthropic merges Claude chat and Cowork in one interface

Anthropic has merged its Claude chat and Cowork interfaces into a single unified front end, simplifying user experience by eliminating the need to switch between tabs for different tasks. The new interface integrates chat, Cowork, Artifacts (Claude’s interactive workspace), and Claude Design, streamlining workflows and routing requests automatically. Additionally, Anthropic introduced enhanced features for creating presentations and documents, including AI-assisted slide creation, editing, and sharing, with cross-device progress tracking. These updates, initially available to Pro and Max plan users on web, desktop, and mobile platforms, aim to reduce confusion and improve productivity. This follows a recent upgrade to Cowork's memory layer, enhancing Claude's context retention across interactions.
